Over the past few months, I’ve been thinking about what this blog means and where I want to go with it.
It seems as though I get incredibly excited about blogging and then at some point, taper off. I go through a cycle of being inspired, diving head first into an idea, but because I don’t have a strong foundation established for it, I end up losing steam quickly, becoming busy in life, and my blog goes dormant for a while. Then, after a few weeks or a couple months, I feel guilty, force myself to find something that inspires me, and the cycle begins anew.
So, for now, I think I’m going to have Honey in My Hair go on an official and indefinite hiatus. I’ll leave the content up for now, but I think I need to re-evaluate what I want my personal brand to be and how I want to move forward creatively.
This isn’t goodbye though! I’ll still be producing content for Her Campus DU, you’ll find me on Instagram and Tumblr goofing off, and who knows? Maybe someday I’ll find a way to create and manage content on a more regular basis. For now, I’m going to sign off of blogging for a bit so I can re-center my life in general without the guilt of not updating here regularly.
Thank you to everyone who has read my stuff and followed me over the past couple of years! I hope to see you all again someday.
